Find advisory firms

Find wealth management firms by size, affiliation, and region

Wealth management firms publish more than most service businesses, because they have to. Team pages, office listings, and headcount records give you a size band before you pay to find a single contact.

try

Assets under management decides everything about how an advisory firm buys. A 2-advisor practice runs on whatever the custodian bundles; a firm past a certain size hires an operations lead and starts buying software deliberately. Band the list by size first, then write one message per band.

Two layers build that band. Serper lists each office and its address from Google Maps, and a firm with no listing does not show up. Blitz API reads each firm's LinkedIn page for a headcount, and People Data Labs adds named advisors when you pick it by name. The contact column starts at Blitz API for contacts with a LinkedIn profile.

Keep the size evidence on the row. Whether a band came from a team page, an office listing, or a headcount record matters when someone challenges the list. A cell that remembers its source settles that in seconds.

Example searches

Ask for it the way you'd say it

Each example is a request in plain words, with what it returns underneath.

  • Band by firm size

advisory firms with between five and thirty advisors, independent rather than wirehouse branches

Advisor count and affiliation land in separate columns, so a branch office is visible as a branch instead of looking independent.

  • Breakaway teams

advisory practices founded in the last three years by advisors who left a larger firm

Founding year sits beside the advisors' prior employers, which is the cleanest public read on a breakaway.

  • Operations owner, not the advisor

for each firm find the chief operating officer or director of operations with a work email

Operations titles only exist above a certain size, so the table records what it found rather than inventing a role the firm does not have.

Plays

Three motions you can run this week

Each one is a chain of OXYGEN primitives: the same hosted objects your workspace already has, composed.

  • Size-banded advisory list

Firms grouped by advisor count so the pitch matches the buying committee that exists.

    1. 1Source firms by state and dedupe on domain before any paid column runs.
    2. 2Band by advisor count, promote the bands you sell to, and send each band's rows to a table and sequence of their own.
    oxygen search run
  • Catch breakaway practices early

New independent firms hear from you while they are still choosing systems.

    1. 1Bind a Blitz API company search for the state, filtered to recent founding years, as a feed with a per-cycle cap. It pages through the list once and stops; update the years each quarter to restart it.
    2. 2Resolve a principal at each new firm, then enroll them under a small daily cap on new leads. Bounce protection can pause the sequence if bounces climb.
    oxygen feeds bind
  • Operations lead where one exists

Larger firms get a message aimed at the person who owns the tooling decision.

    1. 1Filter to firms above your advisor threshold and resolve the operations title per row.
    2. 2Copy the rows where that title resolved into a table of their own and enroll it. The rest go to a principal-led sequence the same way.

Who you can reach

Roles you can find at wealth management and advisory firms

Reachability is per channel: a role marked for mobile is one the phone waterfall usually resolves, not a guarantee for every record.

Filters you can search on

  • Advisor headcount band
  • Independent, branch, or hybrid affiliation
  • State, metro, or country
  • Year the firm was founded
  • Client focus named on the site
  • Number of office locations
  • Team page with named advisors

Registered firms with a public team page resolve cleanly on size, location, and named advisors. Two-person practices under a larger firm's registration are the difficulty. They look independent on a listing but share a parent's domain, so check affiliation before treating one as its own account. Personal advisor emails resolve less often than firm addresses.

Data sources

Data sources and CRM connections

  • Serper

Google Maps office listings with address, phone, and site. A firm with no listing does not appear here.

  • People Data Labs

Headcount, founding year, and the advisors and operations staff attached to each firm, run when you pick it by name.

  • Blitz API

Opens the work-email chain for contacts with a LinkedIn profile, billed only on a hit. Its company search, billed per page, feeds the breakaway list by state and founding year.

  • LeadMagic

A later lane on the work-email chain and second for mobile behind Blitz API, charged only when it returns a result.

Use managed credits where available, or connect a supported provider key on an eligible paid plan. Your provider bills its calls; OXYGEN adds a per-call platform fee. Signed-in CRM connections such as HubSpot have no per-call fee. Connected sending accounts reserve monthly credits. See pricing and supported integrations.

Limits

Where this stops

  • Any figure for assets under management is self-reported, and it is often a range rather than a number. Band on it, do not quote it back to a prospect as fact.
  • Affiliation is easy to misread. An advisor operating under a larger firm's registration may still present as an independent practice on every public page.

FAQ

Questions people ask first

Can I filter advisory firms by assets under management?
By band, not by figure. Advisor count, office count, and stated client focus give a workable size band, and that is enough to decide which message a firm should get.
How do I spot a breakaway practice?
Founding year plus the advisors' prior employers. A firm 2 years old whose principals all came from the same large institution is usually a breakaway, and those buy tooling early.
Who actually signs for software at a firm this size?
Below roughly 10 advisors, the founding advisor. Above that, an operations or compliance lead usually owns it. The row stores whichever title resolved so you write to the real owner.
Is a branch office a separate account?
Rarely. Branch offices of a national firm normally cannot buy independently. Keep affiliation as a column, send the independent rows to a table of their own before you enroll, and approach the parent once. A company do-not-contact entry is the wrong tool for this: it blocks every lead at the parent's domain in every campaign until removed.
Do I need a phone lane for this segment?
It helps. Firm addresses resolve more often than personal ones, so route a row with only a general inbox to a call step on the office number. Calling is a beta an admin turns on under Settings, Beta features, and it dials from a number bought on a paid plan.
Can I show a colleague why a firm made the list?
Yes. Research cells keep the pages their answer cites, and enrichment cells name the provider that found each value. Each paid cell also keeps what its last run cost. A teammate can open the row and see which evidence put the firm in a band.
